València: The city of the Holy Grail

History & Legend of the valencian chalice

Undoubtedly, the chalice that Jesus Christ used at the Last Supper is one of the most searched objects in human history, even more so since it is considered the Holy Grail.

The cathedral of València has a chalice dated in the first century, by historical documents, we know it is the same that was venerated as authentic in the monastery of San Juan de la Peña (Huesca, Spain) in the Middle Ages.

During this guided tour we will review the legend and the history of an object that is already much more than that, stopping in the places of the city where, in one way or another, remind us the Holy Grail that is preserved in the old chapter of the Valencian cathedral.

The visit ends with a visit to the cathedral of Valencia and the chapel of the Holy Chalice, where we can see personally this jewel so precious and full of mysteries.

Duration: 2 hours.
Meeting point: Door of the Palace of the Brands of Dos Aguas. C / Poeta Querol s / n.
